Fischer Elektronik Introduces Star Heatsink for LEDs


High-power (HP) LEDs and high-brightness (HB) LEDs offer significant opportunities for the lighting industry due to their energy-saving LEDs and potentially high reliability.

Given the high power density of these HP/HB LEDs, the main challenge is safety and effective heat dissipation to ensure trouble-free operation, good light efficiency and long life.

The shape or location of the luminaire housing is typically rotationally asymmetrical, so this scalloped structure requires a heat sink system to control.

To dissipate these LEDs, Fischer Elektronik has developed a variety of aluminum heat sinks that match most of today's LEDs with a fan-shaped housing design.

These heat sinks come in different diameters and shapes to meet specific heat dissipation applications.

The LEDs can be attached to the heat sink using thermal, double-sided tape, 2-component thermal conductive adhesive or screws. In the case of standard heat sinks, the surface is to be plated in black or natural.

In addition to standard heat sinks, especially modified and customised heat sinks are being developed and produced.

Rubber Cable

Rubber cable is also rubber sheathed cable. As its name implies, it is a wire and cable with various rubbers or thermosetting elastomers with equivalent performance as the insulation and sheath foundation.

Advantages

1. Good water resistance, less air permeability.
2. It can be mixed with other rubber or plastics to improve the performance of rubber.
3. Good heat resistance. The heat resistance of rubber is better than that of natural rubber and styrene butadiene rubber.
4. The physical and mechanical properties are average. The mechanical properties of rubber without reinforcing agent are poor.
5. It has excellent oil resistance and solvent resistance. The higher the content of acrylonitrile, the better the oil resistance.
