Intel will push more than a dozen tablets with partners at the end of the month

Intel disclosed plans on Wednesday to introduce 10 tablet PCs equipped with Intel processors in order to extend its advantages in the PC field to mobile devices. In the mobile space, the design of competitor ARM has become the standard. Intel plans to display its new tablet with its PC vendor partners at the Computex Computer Trade Show in Taipei on May 31st. According to the "Wall Street Journal" reported on Wednesday, Asian PC makers such as Asustek Computer are expected to display new tablets at this show.

This was announced by Intel on the second day of its reaffirmation of the PC market and announced its third major shift in chip development strategy. Intel will be more aggressive in reducing the power consumption of chips used in smartphones and tablets, optimizing the future design of notebook computers.

According to Navin Shernow, general manager of Intel Asia Pacific, there are more than 35 Tablet PCs with Intel chips planned for launch this year.

Cheroyi also said that Intel expects that the earthquake disaster in Japan in March this year will not affect the PC demand in the second quarter. The disaster did not affect Intel's supply chain.
