China's first power emergency training base unveiled at Longquan Lake

On July 26, the first national and emergency training base for large-scale professional emergency training bases in the southwestern China was launched at the Longquan Lake in Sichuan. In the future, when the power grid encounters major disasters such as earthquakes, snowstorms, and mudslides, the “high-level professional emergency rescue team” will complete the assembly in 30 minutes and rush to the scene for emergency rescue.

It is understood that in order to respond to emergencies in a timely manner and to ensure the safe and stable operation of the power grid, the Sichuan Provincial Power Company began construction of the first domestic power emergency training base in Sichuan Longquan Lake in June 2008. The emergency rescue system with "unified command, full-featured, responsive, and efficient operation" was gradually formed. In May of this year, the Sichuan Provincial Electric Power Company established the first electric rescue and rescue team consisting of 106 people. Once a disaster occurs, all personnel will quickly build up and go to the scene the first time to carry out rescue and disaster relief work and restore power supply.

Since the emergency training base was initially established in June 2008, it has trained more than 2,000 emergency rescue team members, organized drills for 15 times, conducted psychological rescues for the people in the disaster-stricken area and electric power workers, and set off several emergency rescue lines.
