Jing Mingjun, general manager of Jingdian, said that at present 40W LED light bulbs are about 20 to 30 US dollars, 60W bulbs also reach 40 US dollars, according to the United States Department of Energy (DOE) target, LED lighting unit cost is expected to be reduced to 1 US dollars in 2015 to buy 500 Lumens, but at present it is expected to be achieved 2 to 3 years ahead of schedule, that is, in 2012, we can expect to see this price target. By then, the penetration rate of LED lighting is expected to reach 20% to 30%.

Zhou Mingjun also announced that compared to the past, the process of adding warm white LEDs with red phosphors will result in a 30% to 40% reduction in luminous efficiency. Now, the luminous efficiency of the red LEDs of Jingdian has once again exceeded the record, compared to the original The luminous efficiency of 165 lm/W is expected to reach 180 lm/W in the laboratory before the end of December, which is expected to significantly increase the luminous efficiency of warm white lighting.

Ye Xifu believes that the next stage of the development of the LED industry will be in the application of lighting products, with the improvement of efficiency, cooling problems and design costs, lower manufacturing costs, LED lighting prices will be revised downwards, the price of civilians LED lamps will be just around the corner. Although Taiwan has a complete layout of LED upstream technology, in the past there were also many lighting factories in Taiwan. After the changes in the industrial structure, they were gradually transferred to the mainland. In the future, through Taiwan’s foundation combined with the mainland market, it is expected to establish the world’s first LED Chinese lighting brand.
