working principle

The power supply is a general-purpose, flyback power supply with an output of 35 W and a TOP258PN device. Typical applications include LCD displays, but for applications that require high efficiency dual output power supplies, this design is equally applicable.

The AC input is rectified (D1–D4), filtered (C4), and connected to the primary side power components (T1 and U1). EMI filtering is provided by components C1, C2, C3, L1, C7, and C11. The thermistor RT1 limits the inrush current when AC is powered up.

• Precise, auto-recovery and hysteretic shutdown with hysteresis to keep PCB temperature within safe conditions under all conditions
• Enters the auto-restart protection state when the output short circuit and the feedback loop open loop
• Output overvoltage protection can be configured for latching or auto-recovery
