Read Chinese AI, this one is enough!

When did China officially enter the stage of economic digital transformation driven by artificial intelligence? What is the overall demand for artificial intelligence in the current Chinese market? What are the characteristics and performances of the regional distribution? What are the underlying reasons behind these problems? To find out, let's take a look at this report.

Recently, the Internet Development and Governance Research Center of Tsinghua SEM, together with Baidu, released the "Artificial Intelligence-Driven Digital Transformation of China's Economy - China's Artificial Intelligence Social Cognition and Application Requirements Research Report" (hereinafter referred to as the "Report").

It is understood that in order to help governments, industries and individuals at all levels to better understand the influence and driving force of artificial intelligence in the process of digital transformation of China's economy, it will have a clearer understanding of the development of human intelligence and social needs in China and everywhere. Positioning, the report takes the current impact of the development of artificial intelligence on the digital transformation of China's economy as the research background. Based on the search data of Baidu in the last four years, it faces the status quo and development trend of social cognition and application demand of artificial intelligence from the national and regional levels. In-depth analysis of insights, gaining many valuable discoveries, and based on this, give some opinions and suggestions on the strategic layout of artificial intelligence. The following is part of the excerpt from the Report.

I read Chinese artificial intelligence in a single article, and there are different areas in different regions.

Seven core discoveries:

1. Based on Baidu's massive search data from 2014 to 2017, this study found that from the perspective of social cognition and application demand, China officially entered the artificial digital-driven economic digital transformation stage from March 2017.

2. This study divides the social cognition of artificial intelligence into three levels: basic cognition, professional cognition and technical cognition. In March 2016, AlphaGo won the World War II event, which was the trigger for the basic cognitive and professional cognitive development of artificial intelligence in China. The two cognitions entered a rapid rise after March 2016; the deepest technical cognition It entered the fast-rising period in March 2017.

3. This study examines the application requirements of artificial intelligence from two perspectives: technology application and industry application. The demand for technology applications in the country has been on the rise as a whole. The demand for industrial applications has entered a jump period in March 2017 after the growth period and the stable period in the previous period, and a new round of rapid growth has begun.

4. In terms of regional distribution, whether it is artificial intelligence social cognition or application demand, southern cities have advantages in rankings than northern cities, especially in the Yangtze River Delta region. In addition to the coastal developed cities such as Beishangguangshanghang, Tianjin, Nanjing and Suzhou, the top-ranked cities in Chengdu, Wuhan, Xi'an, Zhengzhou and Chongqing are very prominent.

5. Among the top cities, Nanjing and Xi'an ranked more in the artificial intelligence social cognition than their demand for artificial intelligence applications, and were “social cognition-driven” cities; Zhengzhou, Suzhou, and Chongqing in artificial intelligence application requirements. The ranking is more than its ranking in the artificial intelligence social cognition, which is “application demand driven” cities; other cities are relatively balanced in these two aspects.

6. From a technical demand point of view, Xi'an and Nanjing are “single technology demand-driven” cities, all driven by deep learning needs; Zhengzhou and Wuhan are “dual technology demand-driven” cities, Zhengzhou by computer vision and voice Driven by demand for semantic technology, Wuhan is driven by deep learning and computer vision needs; Beijing, Hai, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Chengdu, Hangzhou, Tianjin, Chongqing and Suzhou are “all-technology demand-driven” cities.

7. From the perspective of industry demand, Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Hangzhou and Chengdu have balanced application needs. Nanjing has high demand for applications in the retail and financial industries. Suzhou has high demand for security and manufacturing industries. Xi'an has high demand for smart driving industry applications.
